Cost: $3 per person (pre-sale) or $5 on the day of the show or at the door. Tickets are being sold on pre-sale in the Student Union from 10-2 from now until the day of the show.

Discuss your reactions. How might your reaction be tied to the way that gender is constructed in our society (ie, that there are two sexes each with a corresponding gender).
Comment on the idea of ‘gender ideals’. In what ways were the performers working to achieve the ‘ideal’ of masculinity/femininity?
Did you have a different reaction to the Drag Kings vs the Drag Queens? If so, in what way was your reaction different? Did you find one more ‘acceptable’ than another? Think about how your reaction might be a product of society’s definition of masculinity vs femininity.
Discuss the way gender was ‘performed’ by the drag kings/queens. Equate that to the way that gender is ‘performed’ in everyday interactions.
