PFLAG is an organization that aims to educate individuals on a number of issues relating to gender and sexuality. One of those issues involves transsexualism, which is a situation in which an individual was born physically a particular sex, but feel as if they were born the wrong sex–that is, they feel that they are the different sex. Read about this in your textbook, and then respond to the following question: What would you do if you were in a relationship and then found out that the person was a transsexual? Would you continue the relationship or not? Would it be similar or different if this person was just a friend? Would you find it difficult to be just a friend with someone who is a transsexual? Why or why not?
