Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt (2011) discuss six steps in the EBP process. The success of these steps hinges on overcoming obstacles and seeking opportunities for change.
Address the following in a 6 to 7 page paper. Reference all work per APA 6th. Discuss specific ways (3 to 4) that you will develop and maintain a personal ‘spirit of inquiry’ as discussed by Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt and Semester One professors. Address these for both your clinical practice (MY practice is psychiatry across the life span) setting and the your school academic environment.
Discuss three (3) specific actions will you implement to overcome barriers discussed on page 17. Predict how co-workers, classmates, and faculty will perceive you after implementing these behaviors.
Discuss specific areas in which you have corrected previous personal mis-perceptions or misconceptions of EBP this semester.
Tell what led you to make these corrections. How will you use this experience to help others in your workplace correct misperceptions of EBP?
