Imagine it is the year 2024. As you are on your way to work in the morning, you chance upon one of the latest copies of your favorie magazines. Then, on the cover of one, you notice a big headline about you, your vision and your company. You smile….
YOUR JOB IS TO CREATE THAT COVER STORY. BE CREATIVE!!!!!!!!
* What is the headline?
* What picture is one the cover?
* Which magazine is featuring your story?
* Is it a print issue or an e-zine?
Feel free to use Keynote, Powerpoint, Word or the Pages Template Chooser to create your “cover” and your “article” with all the fun artwork, layout design, cover hooks, call outs, sound effects, or narration if you wish. If you are good with Adobe products, use them. For ideas you might explore how your favorite magazines are styled and go from three. Also, there are sites that allow you to drop your own artwork into a mock magazine frame such as “People” or “Forbes”. Those are fun to try, or you can invent your own publication. Whatever format you choose, please sticjk to one, or collect multiple formats into one PDF so you can submit one document. Attached you’ll see a simple guide for combining multiple documents into one PDF.
Personal pictures are a fantastic addition and are encouraged. If you also would like to add some stock art, try using the AP IMAGES resource in the full Sail Library (click the Research Databases Link), now that you know how to access those resources.

** If you are web savvy and want to create a web page(s), feel free! If so, you wil submit the web address via email and an .htm document through FSO (BUT DON”T DO THIS!!!! I WANT A MAGAZINE COVER STORY AND ARTICLES LIKE THE SAMPLE THAT I’M UPLOADING)

* Your article’s headline
* Your product or service
* Your mission statement
* Your corportate Social Responsibility model (Classical or Neo-Classical- be sure to read business ethics Chap. 3)
* The reason(s) the writer/magazine is covering your company
* An integration of topics and concepts from class. Focus on the results you and your company have
achieved by using these concepts. What helped propel you to success? What keeps you there? Details-
count-tell the story!
* 5-7 (preferrably 7) that flesh out the story and relate to the headline.
* Visuals and Illustrations are a MUST
*** In your article, also include details on at least two of the following related to ethics:
* Code of Ethics
* Code of Conduct
* Core Values/Articulation of Values
* Corporate Culture
* Methods of regulation or enforcement
****** Lastly, include details on at least two of the following related to social responsibility:
* Employee Relations
* Corporate/Community Partnerships
* Environmental Sustainability/Green Initiatives
* Corporate Sustainability
* Initatives in Education
